IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Mercedes Shaday
Danielle Smith
September 11, 1998 – April 20, 2017
In Loving Memory Of Mercedes Shaday Danielle Smith God Blessed us with a visit from one of his angels, Mercedes Shaday Danielle Smith on September 11th, 1998. God allowed us to love Mercedes on this side for 18 years. She was born to Martina D. McClain and Shawn Laws (R. Smith). Mercedes attended New Life Baptist Church and New Jerusalem Baptist Church. She graduated from Withrow High School last year (2016) where she was an active member of the cheerleading team and a "Super Star" on the Dynamic Withrow Varsity Track & Field Team. Mercedes was one of the Top Track Performers in helping Withrow High School win the Ohio State Championship two years in a row. Mercedes always had the sweetest spirit, she was always the one with the brightest smile and had an amazing delicate personality. She enjoyed chilling with family and friends, watching "Cup Cake Wars", she mastered the art of styling and designing nails, pedicures and eyebrows. Mercedes loved her family and she knew her Mom (Martina), Grandma (Sheila), Aunties (Donnetta & Melissa), and Uncles (Issac & "Man") would all move mountains for her. Her Godmother, (Jamie) was always there for her, from birth, anytime, day or night. Mercedes loved, cherished and always protected her younger sisters (Mariyana & Makenzee Rose) her "heartbeats", whom she enjoyed hanging out with, watching movies with, cooking with and having "Sister" time. She loved and looked up to her first cousins (Diamond & Alexis) whom were like her additional sisters, she would face time with them the most, make up dances and just over all always had a good time. Mercedes also shared a special bond with her cousin Tylandon with whom she walked side by side with from the beginning (being only 33 days apart), until they marched across Withrow High Schools Bridge transitioning into young adulthood. They even shared and referred to each other in their own special language. Mercedes was often described as having a mild, laid back and easy temper but as her Grandmother said, "Mercedes had legs like the wind" and she will FOREVER have our hearts racing with love, joy and the memories of her beautiful smile and sweet spirit. Our Angel affectionally known as "Cede May" leaves to cherish her memories her Mother, Martina D.
