IN LOVING MEMORY OF

Thomas
June 22, 1962 – April 10, 2010
In Memory of Maurice Antonio Thomas June 22, 1962 - April 10, 2010 Visitation: 10:00 - 11:00 a.m. Saturday, April 17, 2010 Ebenezer Second Baptist Church, 10054 Dixie Ct. Cincinnati, OH Service: 11:00 a.m. Saturday, April 17, 2010 Ebenezer Second Baptist Church, 10054 Dixie Ct. Cincinnati, OH Interment: Oak Hill Maurice Antonio Thomas was born in Cincinnati, Ohio on June 22, 1962, to the union of DeOtis Jr. and the late Doris Thomas. On April 25, 1998, he was united in holy matrimony to Tamara Regina Robinson. Maurice graduated from Princeton High School in 1980. Maurice has worked in the home healthcare field for over 25 years, doing what we all knew he loved to do. He took care of everyone like a servant of God, always doing and never asking for anything in return. He was always there unselfishly supporting his family and friends in physical, financial and material matters. He was there for those who needed him with open hands and a kind heart. Maurice was a very strong, outgoing person who loved to go fishing, bowling, camping, hunting and he loved photography. Most of all, Maurice loved to be with family and friends, socializing, playing cards and playing dominos. Maurice also volunteered and enjoyed being part of the many activities that his daughter and Godchildren participated in. Being as outgoing as he was, no matter how he was feeling with or without pain. If you asked Maurice how he was doing, he would say 'I Can't Complain'. On April 10, 2010, at the age of 47, Maurice Thomas was called home to continue his journey. Our hearts may be heavy and we will continue to shed tears. For all who knew and loved him, we could say 'Maurice, job well done'. Now is the time for us to celebrate the home going of our friend. We have all been blessed to have had Maurice in our lives. Something to remember, Maurice was part of the creation of the Viking mascot that continues to hang on the side of Princeton High School building. When you pass by the high school, look at the building. When you see the mascot, it will surely put a smile on your face. You will remember all the moments that were shared with Maurice. Maurice was preceded in death by his sister, Doris Thomas; father-in-law, Robert Gaines; sister, Denise Thomas; brother, Will Thomas. He leaves to cherish his memory: his father, DeOtis Jr.; mother-in-law, Julia Robinson; wife, Tamara Thomas; daughter, Cameron Bean; five brothers, DeOtis III, Glenn, Jerome Ross, Larry (Karen) Thomas, Larry Robinson; five sisters, Joyce and Deborah Robinson, Marsha Phillips, Alicia Gaines, and Jennifer Ross; two grandchildren, C'mari and a host of nieces, nephews, God children and loved ones.
