IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Maureen Alicia
Parker
May 15, 1975 – December 9, 2024
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the sudden passing of Maureen Alicia Parker on December 9, 2024, at the age of 49. Affectionately known as "Mo," Maureen was with her beloved husband, Tim Parker, at the time of her passing. Her kind heart, vibrant spirit, and boundless love for her family and friends left an indelible mark on all who knew her. The daughter of Katie Hofmann and David N. Parker, Maureen was a source of light and joy, cherished by everyone fortunate enough to call her family or friend. Her warmth, compassion, and laughter brought comfort and happiness to those around her, and she will be deeply missed.
She is survived by her devoted husband, Tim Parker; her loving mother, Katie Hofmann; her brother and sister-in-law, Jeff and Breanna Parker; her sister and brother-in-law, Liz and Tony Rinaldi; and her adored nieces and nephews, David, Elianna, Parker Anne, and Vincent. Maureen was a proud graduate of the School for Creative and Performing Arts (SCPA), where her love of music and the performing arts flourished. She performed in productions such as Oliver (as the Milkmaid), The Wiz, Bernstein's Mass, and Orff's Carmina Burana. She also toured Germany and Amsterdam with the Blue Lake Jazz Ensemble, showcasing her incredible talent and passion for music. After college, Maureen dedicated over 20 years of her life to children's and music ministries, where she shared her gifts and faith with countless others. Music remained her refuge and joy throughout life, as did her love for her five wonderful cats, who were her constant companions during challenging times. Maureen's memory will live on in the hearts of her family and friends as they celebrate the beautiful life she lived.
A Celebration of Life service will be held at Horizon Community Church, located at 3950 Newtown Rd., Cincinnati, OH 45244, on Friday, December 13, at 10:00 a.m. ET. For those unable to attend in person, the service will be available via live stream at horizoncc.com/live-event. A public visitation will follow immediately after the service. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made in Maureen's honor to her favorite charity, World Vision. Donations can be made online at www.WorldVision.org. Her family takes comfort in knowing that Maureen's legacy of love and kindness will continue to shine through the lives she touched. She will remain forever in our hearts.
