Mattie Miller was born in Cincinnati, Ohio on May 12, 1937 to the parents of Nathan and Eva Frierson (deceased). Mattie departed this life on Monday, January 30, 2017. Mattie accepted Christ at an early age. She had a great love for everyone she came in touch with. Mattie was an active member of Lincoln Heights Missionary Baptist Church where she sang in the choir. She had also began a children's choir with the family called The Frierson Kids. Mattie was loved by many and will truly be missed by family and friends. Mattie had strong belief in God and she loved everyone. She leaves to cherish her memory: her children, son, Lenardo Crooks (deceased), LaTonia Crooks (Keith), Tyrone Crooks; 10 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren, three sisters, Loretta Grissom, Christine Shivers, Jacqueline Frierson (deceased); brothers, Calvin and Nathaniel (Sonny) deceased, Leonard, Albert, and Jerry Frierson. Visitation is from 10:00 am until 11:00 am, on Wednesday, February 8, 2017, at the Lincoln Heights Missionary Baptist Church , 9991 Wayne Ave, Woodlawn (45215). The funeral service will immediately follow the visitation beginning at 11:00 a.m. Interment will follow at Landmark Memorial Gardens, 1600 Glendale Milford Road , Cincinnati, Ohio 45215.
