Mathew "Pete" Steinmetz, 63, of Fairfield Township, Ohio, passed away on June 25, 2026. Pete was born on April 16, 1963, in Frankfort, Kentucky. Pete was known for his hard-working spirit, his love for his family, and his talent in towing. He was someone who could make a quiet room loud, someone you could count on to get the job done. He liked to fish, derby and conversate.

Pete will be greatly missed by his friends, family, and many more. Pete was well known and loved by the people of Butler County. Pete will be mostly remembered by his favorite saying, “Am I right or wrong, Ole Buddy?”

Pete was preceded in death by his parents, Margorie and Max Steinmetz; son Josh Steinmetz; and siblings Marla Frame, Kimberly Steinmetz, and Mark Steinmetz.

Pete was survived by his partner Donna, his children, Mathew Jr, Brenda, Pete Lee, and Michael; grandchildren Joycelynn, Josh, Kelsey, Payton and great-grandchildren: Tyran; brothers Mike Woodware and Max Steinmetz.

Friends are cordially invited to a visitation with the family from 2:00 pm until 3:00 pm, on Wednesday, July 1, 2026, at the Walker Funeral Home - Butler County, 532 S. Second Street, Hamilton (45011). The funeral service will immediately follow the visitation, beginning at 3:00 pm. Friends and family will gather to share memories, find solace in one another's company, and honor the legacy he leaves behind.
