Mary Sandy Jones was born January 28, 1943 in Cincinnati, Ohio to the late Wilbur and Marry Happner. Sandy was the only child. At the age of two they almost lost her to Rheumatic Fever. But the Lord saw fit for her to go on and become a high school graduate from Wilbert High School in 1963. Two years later she married Nelson Jones, the love of her life. They later had two daughters. The oldest one was born March 3, 1966, Rhonda K. Nicholas and Renee L. Wagner was born February 16, 1971. Nelson preceded her in death sixteen years later. Mom chooses to remain a widow, but her life was far from empty. As she went on to become a proud grandmother of seven, four grandsons and three granddaughters who filled her life with love, laughter and excitement. The grandchildren will always have fond memories of her taking them places. She was never too busy to take a call from them or too busy to comfort them after they had a bad day. They will always remember the love and the patience and understanding she had for them. Mom started suffering from Alzheimer's in 2006. It cheated her out of knowing she had five great grandchildren, four boys and one girl whom also got cheated by not knowing the love and understanding of GG. She will always be alive in our hearts. She taught her children and grandchildren how to set the foundation of generations to come. Funeral Services will be conducted at 11:00 am on Tuesday, December 23, 2014 at Walker - Walnut Hills Chapel , 1025 E. McMillan Street, Cincinnati (45206) with visitation from 10:00 am until 11:00 am. Interment at Vine Street Hill Cemetery. Final arrangements entrusted to Walker Funeral Home, 1025 E.
