Knight
August 3, 1932 – August 22, 2025
Mary Dale Knight, age 93, of Cincinnati, Ohio, passed away peacefully on August 22, 2025.
She was born on August 3, 1932, in Cincinnati, Ohio, to the late Mattie Freeman and John Freeman Sr. Mary lived a long and fulfilling life, guided by love, faith, and devotion to her family. She will be remembered for her kindness, strength, and the countless ways she touched the lives of those around her.
Mary enjoyed the simple joys of life and treasured every moment with her family. She was a prayerful woman who leaned on her faith and found peace in the Lord. Her life was a testimony of perseverance, grace, and compassion.
Mary devoted her life to raising her six children — Gayle Jean, Virgil Ray Jr., Denise Louise, Deborah Ann, Derryl Lee, and Tracey Delmar. She instilled in them the values of hard work, kindness, and faith, and she considered her family to be her greatest blessing. She took a leadership position at Monsanto, where she worked for 30 years before retiring. She then became a supervisor at Riverwood Plastics and later worked at the Post Office. She loved her job.
She was preceded in death by her brothers John Freeman and Stanley Freeman, her sister Emma Jean Sutton, and her grandsons Joshua Sanders and Cedric Covington.
Mary is survived by her cherished grandchildren: Eugene King, Shawn King, Tiffany Anderson, Janelle Covington, D'Andre "Tank" Covington, Shayla Williams, Kendrea Williams, Lavar Covington, Shana Arnold, and Anthony Sanders. She also leaves behind a host of great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews, all of whom will carry her memory forward with love.
Mary was a source of wisdom and comfort to those around her, and her home was always filled with warmth, laughter, and love. Her spirit will inspire, guide, and strengthen all who knew her. She possessed a gentle spirit, yet also a strength that guided her through life's challenges.
