Mary Ann Bohannon September 23, 1928 - July 21, 2023

It is with sadness we announce the transition of Mary Ann  Bohannon, age 94, of Cincinnati, Ohio,  who entered eternal rest on Friday, July 21, 2023, in Cincinnati,  Ohio.   She was born  in Newnan, Georgia.

Visitation is from 10:00 am until 11:00 am, on  Saturday, July 29, 2023, at the Walker Event Center, 3939 Reading Road (Corner of Reading and Paddock), Cincinnati  (45229).   The funeral service will immediately follow the visitation beginning at 11:00 am.

Interment will follow at Spring Grove Cemetery, 4521 Spring Grove Avenue, Cincinnati, Ohio 45232.

Mary Ann Bohannon was born on September 23, 1928 to the late Ned and Sallie Houston. She was married to Jerry Bohannon. She accepted the lord at age seventeen and began her spiritual journey walking in faith and serving Christ. Mary was a strong woman. Raising six children on her own, she taught them strength in life, faith, and God. Gifted in art, she attended Over the Rhine Senior Center where she learned and created some of the most memorable ceramic pieces of art; many of which she sold or gifted to friends and family.  Her spirit lives in everyone who has ever met her. She was proceeded in death by three sisters, Fannie, Arrie, Annie and two brothers, Amos and James B. Houston. Daughters, Jerlene and Leila Bohannon. She leaves to cherish her memory, her devoted sons, James Bohannon, Robert Bohannon, (Mary Pemberton); two daughters, Martha Jones, Louise Bohannon; three brothers, JC Houston, Ned (Catherine) Houston, Aldon Houston; one sister, Gracie (Charles) Smith; many grand and great grand children, a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
