Mary Ann Edmonds, the daughter of the late Francis Wesley Lewis, Sr. and Mary Willie Moman, was born on March 18, 1936, in Sharpsburg, Kentucky. She moved to Cincinnati, Ohio in 1953, and was united in holy matrimony to William Doddy and to this union two children were born Monique and Monsee Doddy. Mary was united in holy matrimony to Roy Edmonds and to this union one child was born Mervin T. Edmonds. Mary Ann gave her life to Christ at an early age. She united with the Emanuel Baptist Church, and was an active member until her health failed. Mary Ann worked for Dr. Preston of Hyde Park for many years, and afterwards she became a homemaker. Mary had a peaceful spirit and a great sense of humor. Mary Ann was a loving, generous, wife, mother, grandmother, family member and friend, always thinking of others. She will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her. Mary Ann Edmonds departed this life, surrounded by her loving family, on Thurday, November 23, 2017, while a patient at University Hospital in Cincinnati, Ohio. She leaves to cherish her memory: daughter, Monique Hopkins; son, Mervin T. Edmonds; grandson, Damien Hamler; nieces, Carolyn Johnson, Diana Scott, Belinda Harris; nephews, Shearo Henry, Rufus Marsh, Richard Bellamy; four great-grandchildren, and a host of other relatives and friends.
