Obituary

Mary Edith Jackson was born on February 20, 1940, in Richmond, Kentucky, to the late Margaret Green and Dee Turpin. Mary moved to Cincinnati, Ohio and attended Taft High School. She married Alvin Bell in April 1956 and they had two children, Diane Marie and Alvin Jr. Mary accepted Christ and joined New Shalom Baptist Church. She later joined Southern Baptist Church where she was a faithful member. Mary worked as a seamstress for the American Linen Company and she also worked for Cincinnati Children's Hospital until she retired in 2005. After being divorced for many years, Mary met the love of her life, Robert Jackson and in June 1997, they were married. Robert preceded Mary in death. Mary was a member of the North College Hill Senior Center which brought her great joy. Mary leaves to cherish her memory: her children, Diane Marie and Alvin Bell, Jr.; daughter-in-law, Victoria Norman Bell; granddaughters, Chanel Marie (Tim Taylor) and Shelisa Bell; grandson, Chandler Bell; great-grandchildren, Timetruis and Zakyrah Taylor, Amira and Neamyah Bell, a host of other loving relatives and friends. Visitation is from 10:00 am until 11:00 am, on Monday, March 9, 2015, at the Southern Baptist Church, 3556 Reading Road, Cincinnati (45229). The funeral service will immediately follow the visitation and will begin at 11:00 am. Interment will follow at Spring Grove Cemetery. You may express online condolences at www.HerbWalker.com.
