Richardson
May 12, 1939 – January 3, 2019
Martha Jean "Nuke" Richardson was born the fifth of eight children to Albert "Noogie" and Annie Lee "Mama" Richardson on May 12, 2939 in Tunnel Springs, Alabama.
"Nuke" as she was called by loved ones, accepted Christ as her Savior at an early age at Antioch Missionary Baptist Church #1.
She later made Cincinnati, Ohio her home along with her only son, Nelson "Peewee" Jerome Richardson, to whom she always called her "Boo". After a while she met the love of her life, Robert "Bob" Harris and together they were able to enjoy each others company and love for over thirty years.
Nuke worked in the dry cleaning business for all her adult life. SHe enjoyed church, listening to gospel music, talking on the phone with her Boo, sitting on the front porch with her Bob and most of all spending time with her granddaughter, Temprest Davis, her great granddaughter Maria Roe and her whole heart, her most beloved Nyla Marie Beamon.
She was called home to be with the Lord on January 3, 2019.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Albert and Annie Lee; brother, Charles Richardson and three sisters, Emma Lee Simmons, Daisey Mae Booker and Johnny Mae Cunningham-Dailey.
Nuke leaves cherished memories of her love and joy to: her beloved, Bob; son, Nelson; daughter-in-law, DOris; grandsons, Bobby, Travis, Kyle and TJ; granddaughters, Tenika, Ebony, Misty and Tt; great granddaughters, Mariah and Nyla, along with twenty other great grandchildren; two brothers, Albert Richardson and Joseph (Jackie) Richardson; one sister, Annie Lee Preyear, a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Visitation is from 10:00 am until 11:00 am, on Saturday, January 12, 2019, at the Antioch Missionary Baptist Church #1, Petermon (Tunnel Springs) AL. The funeral service will immediately follow the visitation beginning at 11:00 am.
Interment will follow at Antioch Missionary Baptist Church Cemetery, Monroeville, AL.
