On November 6, 1975, God sent a gift to the late Bertha Robinson and Milton Trice, III, in the person of Martha Helen Evans. Martha was a devoted wife, loving mother, sister, and dedicated friend. On December 16, 2016, this beautiful woman was called to rest. Wise beyond her years, she gave advice, reassurance and provided spiritual guidance to many, while inspiring strength through her display of courageous determination. Everyone can agree that Martha Evans is a phenomenal woman. She managed and operated Marty's Little Angels Daycare where she impacted the lives of many children. She used her expertise to obtain a restaurant 'Marty's Soul Food Spot partnering with her business management and earning the title of Valedictorian while graduating Summa Cum Laude. She often used her education to assist many others in prevailing and succeeding. On December 19, 1997, Martha married her husband of twenty years, Maurice Evans. From this union, two daughters were born, Miracle and Makayla Evans. In addition, she leaves behind her brother, Juwuan Gassett; mother-in-law, Darlene Birch; father-in-law, Greg Birch; brother and sister-in-law, Angel Gentry and Clyde Gentry; and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, sisters, and brothers, cousins, friends, and extended family, whom she loved dearly.
