Marsha Willis
Davis
April 17, 1957 – March 2, 2026
Marsha was born on April 17, 1957, in New Richmond, Ohio, to her loving parents, Oliver Willis and Betty Jean Willis. In 1965, she moved to Cincinnati, Ohio, where she attended Rothenberg Elementary School and later graduated from Robert A. Taft High School.
Marsha embraced one of her greatest blessings—motherhood. She was the proud and loving mother of three sons: Rondray Willis, Dwynell Golightly, and Steven Golightly. Her love continued to grow as she became a devoted and supportive wife to Derrick Davis, standing by his side with strength and loyalty.
Marsha was a woman whose love knew no limits. She had a heart big enough to make everyone feel like family, and her door was always open to anyone who needed comfort, laughter, or support. Her presence lit up every room she entered. She loved singing and dancing, and her joyful spirit could turn any moment into a celebration.
She took great pride in herself, always making sure her hair was done and her lipstick was just right. Marsha carried herself with confidence, style, and a little sass. She spoke her mind when needed, but at her core, she was full of love, warmth, and strength. To her family, she was more than just a mother, wife, sister, or grandmother—she was the heart, the foundation, and the glue that held everyone together.
Marsha was preceded in death by her parents, Oliver Willis and Betty Jean Willis, and her beloved sister, Diana Peppers.
Though she is no longer with us in body, her spirit and love live on through the beautiful legacy she leaves behind.
She is survived by her loving husband, Derrick Davis; her sons, Rondray Willis, Dwynell Golightly, and Steven Golightly; and her siblings, Theresa Willis, Barbara Walker (husband, Robert Walker), and Bobby Willis (wife, Marie Willis).
She also leaves behind her nieces, Cynthia Smith, Jamasha Willis, and Ashley Willis; and her nephews, Michael Willis, Deon Willis, and Shawn Kelley.
She also leaves to cherish her memory her lifelong best friend, VIEAAIA Davis (also known as “ReSee”), with whom she shared over 40 years of friendship filled with time spent together and countless conversations on the phone.
Her love continues through her seven cherished grandchildren: Donaezia Boynton, Rondray Willis Jr., Daysha Smith (husband, Mark Smith), Si’Draya Willis, Antwann Willis, R’Dray Willis, and Sion Willis, along with her great-grandchildren, great-nieces, great-nephews, and a host of cousins and dear friends.
Marsha’s life was a testament to love, strength, joy, and family. Her laughter, her spirit, and the love she gave so freely will forever live in the hearts of those who knew and loved her.
Her legacy is not only remembered—it lives on through each and every one of us.
