MARK STEPHEN EDWARDS

Mark Edwards was born on September 3,1961 in Cincinnati, Ohio to Herbert and Loretta Edwards (deceased). Mark passed peacefully on July 5th 2023 in his apartment. He is survived by his brother Darryl Edwards (wife Shirley). He also was extremely, close to his nephews Darryl Edwards Jr. (wife Shelly) Kameron Edwards, Keeira Moore, Jarell Edwards nephew Mario Edwards daughters Kameia and Vondane Edwards cousin Preston Edwards (wife Mieque) and sisters Karyn (Glen) Armstrong, Lori (Mike) Peterson, Nikki (Anthony)Hicks and Uncle William Edwards Jr. and wife Jacqueline. He will be missed by several cousins, in laws and other extended Family. Some of his close friends were Rodney Adkins, Marcus Turner (New York) and Jason Lytle (California) with a host of other friends.

Mark grew up in Kennedy Heights at 6226 Tyne Avenue acquiring many of his associates from the community even to this day. After leaving Woodward High School Mark went into the Army stationed in Germany and Europe in a time of no declared warfare. Upon returning to the United States Mark led a life of solitude. He worked many years in the construction and the environmental remediation industry. Mark spent a good portion of his life as an adult in Kennedy Heights and the Bond Hill area.

Those that knew Mark appreciate his ability to provide humor and liveliness to any situation/conversation. Mark also on occasion demonstrated a realistic approach to many problems and situations that some found helpful to navigate and/or solve. Mark loved his sports. Especially, basketball playing it months before his passing. He really enjoyed watching, debating and analyzing sports with his nephews Darryl Jr. and Mario Edwards.

Mark will be deeply missed by his Family, close friends and associates. One of his favorite parting words to family and friends is " STAY UP " He would want all to do the same

The memorial service will be held at 4:00 pm on Tuesday, July 25, 2023 at Walker Funeral Home-Mt. Healthy Chapel, 7272 Hamilton Avenue, Mt. Healthy, OH 45231.
