It is with profound sadness that we announce the heavenly transition of Margie Lee Johnson, age 82, of Cincinnati, Ohio,  who entered eternal rest on Friday, January 15, 2010, in Cincinnati,  .   She was born on Wednesday, September 28, 1927, in Cincinnati, Ohio.

She leaves to cherish one sister-in-law, Bessy Lucas; one son, Harold Lucas (Shirley); 7 daughters, Henritta, Damella Summers, Beverly Read Canyon, Stephanie Reed, Linn Dubose (Timothy), Margie Barnes (Marceo), Anna Ball, a host of grandchildren, great-great grandchildren, great-geat-great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, many close relatives, neighbors and friends all over. Preceded in death by 4 brothers.

Visitation is from 5:30 pm until 6:30 pm, on  Tuesday, January 19, 2010, at the New Unity Baptist Church, 2124 Burnet Avenue, Cincinnati  (45219).   The funeral service will immediately follow the visitation beginning at 6:30 pm. Friends and family will gather to share memories, find solace in one another's company, and honor the legacy she leaves behind.

Interment at 10:00 a.m., on Wednesday, January, 20, 2010, at Spring Grove Cemetery, 4521 Spring Grove Avenue, Cincinnati, Ohio 45232.
