Obituary

Marcus Jaymar Jamison, 33 of Cincinnati, OH who was a hardworking man of strong character and exceptional sense of humor, passed away on April 08, 2024, at the University of Cincinnati Medical Center after succumbing to his injury. He was born July 8, 1990, at the University of Cincinnati Medical Center in Cincinnati, OH to Melinda Jamison and Spud Strattman.

His departure comes as a great shock and a deep wound, and it is gravely felt by his entire family and countless others who loved him deeply. He was an amazing father, son, brother, uncle, cousin, colleague, and friend. He would love to be remembered with funny, strange, or silly stories that celebrate what was good and blessed in his life.

Marcus received his education through Cincinnati Public and God's Bible School. After leaving school he entered the workforce. At the time of his passing, Marcus was employed as a Manager at White Castle in Cincinnati, OH. Where he was loved by his co-workers and customers who patronized the restaurant. Marcus was dedicated to working whereby if asked to come in on his off day or cover a shift he did not hesitate. He also worked at KFC, Taco Bell, McDonald's and Kroger.

Marcus attended Main Street Chapel from pre-school age through adolescent years developing lifelong friendships with Pastor Matt Hallam, church leadership, and members such as Chris Watson and Antonio Webb where they became best of friends. He joined the choir known as Hearts of Praise where they performed at local and out-of-town churches.

He had very strong values and was well-liked by everyone, mostly due to his positive energy. He committed himself to maintaining a sense of normalcy. There wasn't a moment he wasn't playing or making someone laugh. He enjoyed listening to different music genres, playing basketball, and watching his favorite football team Carolina Partners, and WWE wrestler Roman Reigns. His favorite sayings were Acknowledge Me and Head of the Table from his favorite wrestler.

We are sure that most of you'll have a nick name for Marcus but the family will remember him as Kee-Kee given to him by his mother. Marcus protected and cared for his children, prioritizing their needs well above his own. His children were the light of his life. They gave him strength during the rough times and laughter and joy all of the time. He adored spending time with his children when presented with the opportunity. He was so proud of his kids and, his family and friends hold dear the stories giving them the privilege to tell them one day of their funny, loving father.

Marcus loving spirit will forever be cherished by: his mother, Melinda Jamison; father, Spud Strattman; six children, Shawnna, Mackenzie, Jariya, Marius, Tonia & Marcus Jr.; On his mother side: brothers; James, Jermaine, Jamie, Julius, Jamore & Justin; sister; Martina, Jasmine & Abiona (sister-in-law), nieces; Bryanna, Jamyra, Mariah, Eve, Amiea, Synieca, Jada, Destiny, Dominique, London, Ezrae & Brooklyn; nephews, Dionvontrae, Jamarcus, James Jr., Jayden, James Jr., On father's side: Poochie, Robert, Aaron Anita, Mario, Tiffany, Ronnasha; proceeded in death brother Pierre and Angelo and host of relatives, mothers of his beautiful children and friends.
