IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Marcia Ann
Ryles
December 2, 1944 – March 8, 2015
Marcia Ann (Cross) Ryles was born to the late Homer L. and Mary E. (Goodlett) Cross in the village of Addyston, Ohio on December 2, 1944. She entered into eternal life on March 8, 2015 after her battle with an extended illness. At an early age our Mommy gave her life to Christ where she became a member of Phillips Chapel CME Church and later on she became the organist and an incredible singer for the Lord. Later in life she joined 1st Missionary Baptist Church of Addyston, Ohio. Marcia attended Meredith Hitchens Elementary and Taylor High School. Marcia attained her STNA (State Tested Nursing Assistant) License and afterwards she worked in the healthcare field for 23 years, until she retired from the University Heights Nursing Facility in 2013. Mommy enjoyed singing, modeling, appearing in talent shows and dancing. She inspired us, her children to emulate her. Because of her love for music (playing the piano and singing), other lives where touched and changed. Mommy leaves to cherish and honor her memory: two daughters, Jacqueline E. Ledbetter of Addyston, and Tonya Hinkston of Cincinnati, Ohio; two sons, Jeffrey O. Hinkston and Rodney O. Ryles (Roxie) of Cincinnati, Ohio; nine grandchildren and four great-grandchildren; three sisters, Gwendolyn Cross, Jean Owens of Cincinnati, Ohio; Faith Cross of Addyston, OH; three brothers, Richard Phoenix of Cincinnati, OH, Owen (Roberta) Cross of Lawrenceburg, IN, Gordon Cross of Cincinnati, OH; and a host of loving nieces, nephew, other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by two brothers, Homer L. Cross Jr., Stephen Cross; one sister, Mary L. Haygood and her granddaughter, Jamela K. Hunter; son-in-law, Larry Ledbetter, Sr.; and a host of other relatives and friends. Visitation is from 10:00 am until 11:30 am, on Friday, March 13, 2015, at the First Missionary Baptist Church, 319 Sekitan Ave., Addyston (45001). The funeral service will immediately follow the visitation and will begin at 11:30 am. Interment will follow at Maple Grove Cemetery - Cleves. You may express online condolences at www.HerbWalker.com. Walker Funeral Home is serving the Ryles family.
