Celebrating the Life and Spirit of Marcia Randy Kinkade Marcia Randy Kinkade, 53, passed away on Friday, January 15, 2016, at her home in Cincinnati, Ohio. She was born on February 20, 1962 in Montgomery, Alabama to Alfonsa and Marguerite (Gilchrist) Kinkade. She attended Robert A. Taft High School, and became a Homemaker, and a Child Care Provider. As a young person, Marcia gained the reputation in the family as a nurturer and helper. She often babysat her siblings, and kept the home spotless for her parents. Marcia would gather her siblings and say ' let's clean the house for Mama so we can surprise her'! Here, she would sew the seeds to become the supportive, and motherly figure, she became known as. Marcia grew up in the Over-the-Rhine area of downtown Cincinnati, where friends would lovingly call her the 'Neighborhood School Teacher'. She would round up her siblings, and friends to teach them school lessons. Marcia would then proceed to teach these life lessons to her own 3 children Vince, Monique, and Maranda. Marcia was a Mother first, an amazing teacher; a soulful cook (her spaghetti was famous); and probably one of the nicest; and funniest people you could have ever met. Her jokes, laugh, and quotes were distinct and unmistakable. One absolutely knew when Marcia was present because they would be laughing until their stomach hurt. She was funny period. She was also very devout to her Lord and Savoir Jesus Christ. 'Ma' loved God, and the scriptures of the Holy Bible. Marcia enjoyed continuously guiding her children through life's obstacles, talking on the phone with her Mother daily, playing her numbers (220), reading, laughing, tending to her grandchildren, watching game-show, educational, and spiritual television, writing in her journal, listening to music, and being surrounded by those who loved her. Marcia passed away with the following honorary degrees, certificates, and designations; given to her, and earned by her children. It is highly understood that without her, none of these accomplishments could have been possible. 'Ma' earned three high school diplomas, a BA in Sociology from Ohio State, and two Child Development Associate Certificates. Furthermore, she is also a licensed Broker in the state of Ohio, and a Accredited Retirement Plan Specialist. She will earn many more while in heaven with her Lord. Marcia was preceded by; her grandparents Fred and Carrie Gilchrist; her grandparents Cephus and Robert Lee Kinkade; her uncle Cephus Kinkade, Jr.; her uncle James Gilchrist. Robert Zinveli, Angela Zinveli, and Anna Mae Black. Marcia is survived by her parents Alfonsa and Marguerite Kinkade; her brothers Gary, Morris, Dennis, Stephen, and Ronald; her sisters Kim, Carla, Janet, and Alisa; her son Vincent Kinkade (born, Givenchy Lee); her daughter Monique Marie Kinkade; her daughter Maranda Monay Kinkade; her step-daughter Julie Zinveli; her grandchildren Armoni Edmerson, Eboni Kinkade, Essence Kinkade, Sarah, Robert, Elizabeth, and Natalee; her loving nieces; strong nephews; and a whole host of relatives, and friends. Visitation is from 10:00 am until 11:00 am, on , Friday, January 29, 2016, at the Walker Funeral Home - West End, 930 Findlay Street, Cincinnati (45214). The funeral service will immediately follow the visitation beginning at 11:00 a.m. Rev. Larry Williams will officiate. Interment will follow at Vine Street Hill Cemetery, 3701 Vine Street, Cincinnati, Ohio 45220.
