Marcellis Smith, age 24,  was the fourth child and baby boy of seven children. He entered eternal rest on Thursday, October 12, 2023. He was born June 28, 1999 in Chicago, Illinois, where he was baptized and confessed his life to Christ at an early age. He then relocated to Cincinnati, Ohio, where he received his formal education at Saint Nicholas Academy then onto DePaul Cristo Rey, where he played basketball then later attended Achieve Point Academy High School. He was a former employee at Frisch's restaurant.

He enjoyed watching sports like football, basketball and playing the game. His hobbies were cooking, rapping, dancing, drawing, partying and entertaining family and friends.

He was preceded in death by his grandmothers, Dorothy and Sally; his grandfathers, Howard and Robert; uncles Melvin, Basil and Leevon; aunts, Khadirah, Dorothy Ann and Loretta Smith.

He leaves to mourn his mother, Tequila; his father, Rodrick; his only son, Messiah; sisters, Khaliyah, Nashaya, Janese, Takiya, Ariah and Sydney; brother, DeQuan; aunts, Joyce, Edna, Tameika, Coretta, and Lanise; uncles, Marvin, Tony, Steven, Edmund, and Charles and grandfather, Bernard and a host of nieces, nephews, family and close friends.

Visitation is from 10:00 am until 11:00 am, on  Saturday, October 28, 2023, at the Walker Funeral Home - Walnut Hills Chapel, 2625 Gilbert Avenue, Cincinnati  (45206).   The funeral service will immediately follow the visitation beginning at 11:00 am.

Interment will follow at Spring Grove.
