Mandell Hazeley, age 71, of Cincinnati, Ohio, passed away peacefully on July 14, 2025, in his hometown. Born on September 19, 1953 in Cincinnati, Mandell was a lifelong resident who touched many lives with his warmth, generosity, and unmistakable personality.  Mandell dedicated many years of his career to Xavier University, where he served as Facilities Manager. His work ethic, reliability, and pride in his role left a lasting impression on colleagues and the campus community alike. Mandell had a deep love for music, sports—especially his beloved Cincinnati Bengals, the world of boxing and cooking for those he loved. Whether he was cheering on his team, preparing a family meal, or sharing stories set to a soulful soundtrack, he brought joy to those around him. A man known for his big heart and even bigger personality, Mandell was always willing to lend a hand—or the shirt off his back—to anyone in need. He was caring and loyal, though known for a bit of stubbornness that his family and friends came to admire as part of his charm.

Mandell was preceded in death by his mother, Harriet Hazeley, as well as his sister, Deborah Hazeley and brother, Rodney Hazeley.  He is survived by his beloved children, Aisha Hazeley, Carin Armstrong (Cameron Armstrong), and Sharde' Strong (Jason Strong); and his cherished grandchildren, Christopher Jones, Kyla Armstrong, Ronnie Black Jr., Chase Pesante, Emeri Strong, and Hendrix Strong. He is also survived by nephews, Damian Hazeley (Amber Hazeley), Hasani Hazeley (Madeline Hazeley), and Manu Hazeley; great niece, Drew Hazeley and great nephews, Ayce Hazeley and Hudson Hazeley. Along with a host of loving aunts, uncles, and cousins.

Mandell's legacy lives on through the love of his family, the memories he created, and the lives he touched with his kindness, laughter, and unwavering spirit.

Friends may visit with the family on Saturday, July 19, 2025 from 6:00 pm until time of memorial service at 7:00 pm at Walker Funeral Home, 2625 Gilbert Avenue, Cincinnati, Ohio 45206.
