Obituary

Mamie "Fannie Brown" Moore, daughter of the late Arthur Moore Sr. and Carrie Hampton was born in Cincinnati, OH July 14, 1932. After a short battle with illness, at the BLESSED age of 89, Mamie transitioned from this earth Wednesday, December 29, 2021, in Cincinnati, OH surrounded by beloved family and friends. Mamie was predeceased in transition by her partner William Ford, from their union they had three sons, Darrick W. Moore Sr. of Cincinnati, OH and Mark A. Moore of Petersburg, VA whom also preceded her in transition and Reginald Moore.

At an early age, Mamie accepted Christ as her Lord and Savior, and was baptized at Jerriel Baptist Church by Rev. A. L. Goodwin. Mamie was affectionately known by many as "Sweet Thang" for her loving spirit and willingness to always help others.

Mamie received her education at Woodward High School where she graduated in 1950. After graduating high school, Mamie worked at Children's Hospital in the cafeteria before she transferred to Good Samaritan Hospital where she served for 30+ years as a Dietitian nutritionists before retiring in 1994.

Mamie loved spending time with her family. Whether it be the annual 4th of July cookouts or taking a trip down to Alabama for family reunions or going to church. One of Mamie's favorite past times was cooking! She loved to go down on Findley Market to get her fresh meats, collard greens and green beans. Oh, let's not forget the pinwheel cookies! She personally was known for her famous pound cake, collard greens and dressing! You could always catch her cooking up some delicious comfort food every Sunday after church you could stop by for a home cooked meal and great conversations!

Mamie leaves to cherish her memory: Son Reginald Moore; Grandchildren: Darrick W. Moore Jr., Deanna Moore, Desiree' Moore, Marcus Lovett (Sade), Maurice Lovett, Tristan Brakvill, Nia Nelson (James), Sandra Robinson, DeMesha Carter, Matiya Parrish Moore, Christian Savon Moore, Al'leon Morgan, Destiny Stanford, Terrance Middleton, Jayla Serles, Trinity Moore, Tierra Moore, Jayden Collier, Jaylynn Collier, Marcus Jr.; sisters Daisy Mae Goodwin (Albert), Millicent Moore; brothers Arthur Moore Jr. (Marion) and Bruce Moore; daughters-in-love Donna Moore, Jeanette Moore, Brenda Llyod; a HOST of nieces, nephews, cousins and other relatives and friends.

Visitation is from 5:00 pm until 7:00 pm, on Thursday, January 6, 2022, at the Christ Emmanuel Christian Fellowship, 2324 May Street, Cincinnati  (45206).   The funeral service will immediately follow the visitation beginning at 7:00 pm.

Interment will follow at 10:00 am on Friday, January 7, 2021 at Walnut Hills Cemetery, 3117 Victory Parkway, Cincinnati, Ohio 45206.
