She departed this life on July 28, 2016, at University Hospital, Cincinnati, Ohio. Mahannarre accepted Christ at an early age and was baptized at Corinthian Baptist Church in Newport, Kentucky. She later became a member at New Hope Christian Center where she was married to Dorien Cosby. She remained a member in good standing at New Hope until her passing. Mahannare leaves not to mourn but to cherish her memories: her mother, Mary Carter; husband, Dorien Cosby; daughters, Myonshia Harris and Dorian Cosby; sons, Jahmaree Cosby, Emonie Cosby and Naum Cosby; cousin, Jamesha Nellum; grandchildren, Naamiya Bandy and Naamirre McGruder; siblings, Ronald Carter, Kamaron Barber, Mercedes Harris and Yusuf Harris; nieces and nephews, Precious Carter, Sha'ron Simpson-Carter, Kyron Carter and Gavyn Dodds, a host of other family members and friends. Visitation is from 6:00 pm until 7:00 pm, on Tuesday, August 2, 2016, at the New Hope Christian Center, 941 Central Avenue, Newport (41071). The funeral service will immediately follow the visitation beginning at 7:00 p.m. Interment will follow at Highland Cemetery at Ft. Mitchell, Kentucky.
