Maggie Jones Wright was born on February 26, 1908, in Lincoln County, Stanford, Kentucky.  She was one of six children to the union of Henry F. Jones and Isabelle Woods.

She departed this life on May 13, 2001.

She accepted Christ at an early age at Mission Baptist Church.  She later joined Quinn Chapel AME Church.

She married Alfred Wright in 1938.

She went to school in Stanford, Hampton Institute, Simmons University and received her Masters at Kentucky State, Frankfort, Kentucky.  She taught school for ten years.  She was also a Social Worker for the State of Ohio for twenty-seven years.

She leaves to cherish her memory: a devoted husband, Alfred; sister, Mary E. Davis; sisters-in-aw, Hazel Jones and Edna Jones; and a host of nieces, nephews, and friends.

Service10:30 a.m., Saturday, May 19, 2001, at Quinn Chapel AME Church, 10998 Southland Boulevard, Forest Park, Ohio 45240.  Rev. Taylor Thompson, Pastor/Officiating.  Rev. Donald H. Jordan, Sr., Eulogist.

Interment will follow at Gate of Heaven Cemetery.
