Luther James Carr passed away April 26, 2013, in Cincinnati, Ohio. He was 75. Born Marcy 31, 1938, in Jackson, Georgia, he was the son of the late Annie Beulah Carr and Raymond Bruce Carr. Luther had a great love for his job with the City of Conyers, Georgia. He devoted most of his time to the city and retired after more than 38 years of service. Beloved husband of Mattie Lizzy Duffy for 55 years; loving father of Wyman James Carr, Annette (Maxwell) Opoku, Minister Linetter (Michael) Roby, Larry Gene Carr, Rennetter (Timothy) Spikes, and Barrion Lee Carter. Caring brother of Ray (Carolyn Carr, Hyrom (April) Carr, Tony (Theresa) Carr, Calvin (Dorothea), and Raymond (Shirley) Carr. He leaves a multitude of grandchildren, great –grandchildren, nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends. He was preceded in death by brothers, Raymond (Shirley) Carr, Joe (Orlee) Carr, and Lee Carr. Funeral Services will be conducted at 11:00 a.m., Friday, May 3 at Community Friendship Church 436 6th street, Hamilton, Ohio (45011) with Pastor Dean Curtis officiating.
