Born Lucille Ruth Pilgrim the youngest of five children born to the union of Mr. Coaxen Walter Pilgrim of Inman. South Carolina and Mrs. Mary Emma Hennessee Pilgrim of Morganton, North Carolina. Lucille was born on February 26, 1928 in Cincinnati, Ohio. Lucille was the grand daughter of Mr. Perry Pilgrim, Parthenia Foster Pilgrim and Maggie Hennessee. Lucille was the great grand daughter of Mrs. Nellie Young Pilgrim Mr. George Foster, Mrs. Mary Allen Foster, Joseph and Mary Hennessee. The great great grand daughter of.Fannie L. Pilgrim. Lucille attended the Cincinnati Public School. She grew up in Walnut Hills at 84 Washington Terrace. According to her older sister Fannie Louise Pilgrim Brown, Lucille was always full of fun. As a child, Lucille attended Corinthian Missionary Baptist Church with her mother and siblings located on Wehrman Avenue in Walnut Hills. Lucille met and married Mr. John Norris Watts on June 15, 1950 who was the son of Thomas Watts Sr. and Cordia Reed Watts of Richmond, Kentucky. There are no children living from this union. John preceded her in death on February 4, 1962. Lucille worked for many years at General Electric Plant in Evendale, Ohio where they built jet engines. Lucille stayed there until she retired Lucille is preceded in death by her parents Coaxen and Mary Pilgrim, two sisters: Frances Lillian Pilgrim, Margaret Williams and one brother: James Albert Pilgrim. On October 2, 2011 at 3:19 p.m. in the afternoon, Lucille Ruth Pilgrim Watts heard the call and went home to be the Lord. Left to cherish the memories of her life is her older sister Fannie Louise Pilgrim Brown, sister in laws: Bernice Orr Pilgrim and Jean Rozier Watts, Nephews & Nieces: James Lawrence Minor, Phillip Dean Brown, James Mi- chael Pilgrim, Vera Ellen Cooper, Beverly Jean Fields, Marvin Gary Brown, Cathy Pilgrim, Charles Edward Brown, Ameen Abdullah, Sadrena Gadette, John Norris Watts, Damon Frederick Watts, Schjuana Cordia Watts a host of grand and great grand nephews, nieces, relatives and friends.
