Lola Hines was born April 17, 1948, in Cincinnati, Ohio to the late Charles and Essie Hines. Lola transitioned to her Heavenly Home March 30, 2026, while still residing in Cincinnati, Ohio. Lola showed remarkable faith, courage and resilience in the Lord as she moved through life with many health challenges. As a caring and nurturing aunt, mother-figure and friend, Lola was celebrated for her exceptional generosity, kindness and signature onion fried potatoes. Her selfless nature and willingness to give without expecting anything in return was a testament to her remarkable character. She was also a thoughtful and attentive listener, offering wise counsel and guidance to those who sought her advice.

Lola had a distinguished 30-year career as a Certified Nurse Assistant at Quality Care Nursing Home in Avondale, where she provided outstanding care for her patients. Furthermore, she devotedly cared for her mother until she was no longer able.

Lola's presence was a breath of fresh air to anyone she encountered, and her motivated and energetic personality was nothing less than inspiring. Her interests included creating extraordinary art out of ordinary items, playing Bingo, and visiting the local casino.

Lola leaves to cherish her memory, two brothers, Byron (Devra) Hines, John Hines and sister, June Hines all of Cincinnati, and a host of nieces and nephews.

She's preceded in death by her parents, Charles and Essie Hines; two brothers, Charles and Kelley Hines and sister, Delores Smith

Lola will be deeply missed by her family.

Friends are cordially invited to a visitation with the family from 2:00 pm until 3:00 pm, on Saturday, April 18, 2026, at the Walker Funeral Home - Mt. Healthy, 7272 Hamilton Avenue , Mt. Healthy (45231). The funeral service will immediately follow the visitation, beginning at 3:00 pm. Friends and family will gather to share memories, find solace in one another's company, and honor the legacy she leaves behind.
