Lola Bell
(Garrett) Cave
March 21, 1961 – August 27, 2018
Lola B. Cave was born March 21, 1961, to Late Mabel V. and Curtis L. Garrett. She departed this life on Monday, August 27, 2018 Mercy West Park-Rehab, Cincinnati, Ohio. Preceded in death, three sisters: Mary Beckley, Dorothy Williams, Carolyn Beckley; brother: Nelson Beckley; nephew: Carl Beckley.
She grew up in Fairmount and attended Hughes High School. After high school she met the love of her life; Arthur Cave Jr. and was married December 21, 1983 for thirty-six years. This union was blessed with two sons: Antonio Garrett and Arthur Cave III.
Together as one, they decided for Lola to be a Homemaker to raise their two sons. Some of her favorite things to do; was shopping; taking care of her dog Ace; she loved taking pictures and most of – taking care of her husband of which she called him "Her Brown Snowman"!.
At an early age she attended Galilee Baptist Church in Fairmount; Later she united with Samaria, Early Church of God in Christ, Addyston, Ohio under the leadership of Pastor Joyce Raglin and was baptized 1985. She held the position as a Junior Mother, and one of her goals – was to Praise Dance (smiles). Sometime, during the worship services, she loved hearing and watching her son (Art) play the drums and he would also play the Key Board. Some of her favorite Musical Artists: Luther Vandross; Helen Baylor and Whitney Houston singing "I look to you." She enjoyed visiting the sick and shut-in; mostly at the hospitals.
Lola was unique in her own way; such as shopping at Wal-Mart for hours until some of the shoppers thought she was an employee and believe it or not, she would direct them to the right products (smiles); she was an fine dresser and kept her hair laid. She was a #1 proud Honorary Driver with temporary licenses for years.
Even though Lola is absent from the body, she's still speaking. The message she left was: "For her sons to make her proud and for everyone to love one another".
She leaves to cherish her memories, her Husband, Arthur Cave, Jr.; two Sons: Antonio Garrett and Arthur Cave, III; three grand-sons: Antonio, Alijah, Aiden Garrett; one Sister – Kathy Garrett; four Brothers: Charles Beckley (Marceline), Indianapolis, IN; Riley Beckley (Sue), Cinti, OH; Curtis Garrett (Phyllis), Phoenix, AZ; Frank Garrett, Cinti., OH; Mother-in-Law, Juanita Cave, three Brother-in-laws: Rev. James Scott (Robin); Anthony Cave, Savannah, GA; Robert Cave, Springfield, OH; three Sister-in-Laws: Belinda Whatley (Oliver); Stephanie Cave; Theresa Lockett (Kenneth); and a host of nephews, nieces, relatives and friends.!
Visitation is from 9:00 am until 11:00 am, on Friday, September 7, 2018, at the Samaria Early Church of God, 338 Main Street, Addyston (45001). The funeral service will immediately follow the visitation beginning at 11:00 am.
Interment will follow at Maple Grove Cemetery, Cleves, 9570 Valley Junction, Cleves, Ohio 45002.
