Obituary

Lillian Cummings Tribble entered into eternal peace on Thursday, February 6, 2014 at Jewish Hospital. As she slept, the Lord's angel whispered to her, it's time to go home. She was the twelfth child born January 3, 1928 in Nashville, Tennessee to Lillard Cummings and Susie Miller. She attended Douglas School in Cincinnati, Ohio. Modern dance and singing was what she enjoyed doing the most. She often told her children stories of her childhood experiences. She proudly worked at The University of Cincinnati as an Assistant Lab Technician for over fifteen years. Lillian was united in holy matrimony to the late Frank M. Tribble on February 7, 1948. They were married for 28 years. Lillian accepted Christ at an early age and was baptized at Bethlehem Temple Apostolic Church in Cincinnati, Ohio. After visiting a variety of churches, she found favor in the Baptist faith. Lillian was a comforter, a nurturer, and there was nothing she wouldn't do for her children. She took solace in the word of God. She loved to read scriptures to her children, families and friends. One of her favorite scriptures was the 23rd Psalms. Her son, Frank Tribble; siblings, Lewis, Ellis, Leola Cummings, Bessie Nixon, Rosetta Mclendon, Katherine Battles, Ethel Durham, Cora Cohen, Stacy Carter and Ruby Bell, all preceded her in death. Lillian leaves to celebrate her life: six loving and devoted children, Voy (Wendy), Michael (Brenda), Dwight, Deborah, Eric and Karen Tribble. Eight grandchildren whom she loved dearly, DeAndre, D'mond, Chadd, Melissa, Brandon, Duke, Desi and Joy; twelve great-grandchildren whom she adored; one sister, Frances Powell and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and special friends.
