Levern Copeland, age 55, of Cincinnati, Ohio, departed this life on Thursday, July 30, 2026. He was born in Cincinnati, Ohio, on April 24, 1971, to Levern Cole and Mary Copeland.
Levern grew up in Cincinnati and, as a child, was baptized at 2nd Community Church in Cincinnati, Ohio. During his summer breaks from school, he worked for the Citizens Committee on Youth (CCY).
He graduated from Cincinnati Academy of Physical Education (C.A.P.E.) High School in 1989. After graduating, he moved to South Carolina to work with his brother, E.C., where he learned the trades of roofing and flooring.
After a year or two, Levern returned to Cincinnati. He worked in the hotel hospitality industry, where he received numerous awards, including Associate of the Year, Team Player of the Year, and Associate of the Month.
Levern leaves to cherish his memory his loving mother, Mary Copeland, of Cincinnati; his five daughters, Jasmine Copeland, Bria Waldon, Kristyn Waldon, Alexis Copeland, and Arrionna Brown, all of Cincinnati; and his two grandchildren, MyAngel and Karter also of Cincinnati.
He is also survived by his siblings in Cincinnati: Brothers, Robert Copeland (Diane), Richard Copeland (JonNita), and Tony Cole; and his sister, Yvette Copeland Koontz (Thomas "Tony").
He is also survived by his siblings in Detroit, Michigan: his sister, Krystal Cole, and his brother, Kenny Cole.
His step-siblings include Kenny, Charmane, and Marcella "Shug" Clay, all of Cincinnati.
He also leaves behind his bonus siblings: Mary "Mae" Walker-Martin (Larry), Bernice "B-Baby" Walker, Thomas "Tommy" Walker, and a host of cousins, nieces, nephews, and many, many great friends.
Levern also leaves behind his devoted companion, Ms. Carleen Hill, who lovingly cared for him and remained faithfully by his side until the very end.
Levern was preceded in death by his father, Levern Cole; his oldest brother, E.C. Copeland; and his bonus sister, Linda Copeland.
Friends are cordially invited to a visitation with the family from 2:00 pm until 3:00 pm, on Sunday, August 16, 2026, at the Walker Funeral Home - Walnut Hills Chapel, 2625 Gilbert Avenue, Cincinnati (45206). The funeral service will immediately follow the visitation, beginning at 3:00 pm. Friends and family will gather to share memories, find solace in one another's company, and honor the legacy he leaves behind.
