Leroy Eugene Birch was born November 28, 1948 to Clara Birch and the lvoing families of the Stevens and Straders.  he was baptized at the original church of God in Christ (James Temple) located in Cincinnati, Ohio.  He departed this life on January 13, 2009 at 8:05 a.m. at the Hospice of Cincinnati.

Leroy graduated from Withrow High School in 1966.  He received his Bachelor of Arts degree in Sociology on February 28, 1997 from Union Institute University.  He served on the Board of Directors of the Alcohol Drug Addiction Services for several years.  He was licensed as a Social Worker Specialist and worked for Hamilton County Juvenile Courts retiring in 2007.

He leaves to mourn his passing his daughter, Shanda L. Birch and his son, Monalo Birch Caldwell Sr; three grandchildren, Sharece Birch, Tyshanna Birch and Monalo Caldwell jr; sisters, Marilyn Matthews, Carmen Bowen-Bush; brother, ERic Vaughn Strader and a host of other relatives and f friends.

Pallbearers: Eric Strader, Ronald Amos, Dennis Carroll, Bill Johnson, Danny Lewis, Tyrone Ruthland.

Honorary Pallbearers: Samuel Strickland, Gregory Gibson, Roy Cottrell, Lee Riley, Mike Roger, Jeff Bates.
