Leonard Ray "Possum" Dunklin died peacefully on Sunday morning, July 6, 2014, at the Hospice Inpatient Care Center. He was 87 years old. He was born to Costella and Clarence Dunklin in Cincinnati, Ohio. Leonard was employed for a number of years Baker Cement of Monroe, Ohio as a Cement Finisher. He was a member of Local 524 Cincinnati, Ohio since October 29, 1956. He was a 32 Degree Mason and a Shriner. He was called into the ministry in 1983 under the leadership of the late Rev. Robert W. Thomas. In the last 15 years, he was an associate minister at First Baptist Church of Delhi with Pastor Frank Sylvester. He is survived by his beloved wife, Mary Jane, one sister, Lela Ward of Cincinnati, two sons, James (Skip) Lilly of Cincinnati and Barry (Cathy) Dunklin of Sterling Heights, Michigan, two daughters, Desiree Dunklin of Columbus, Ohio, and Gilda Scott of New Castle, Delaware, God Children, Erica Duke, T.J. and Mercy, nine grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren, and a special friend, Sonny Youngblood. He was preceded in death by his parents, three brothers, one sister, and one daughter. Funeral Services will be conducted at 12:00 pm on Thursday, July 10, 2014 at Early Church Of God, 338 Main Street, Addyston, Ohio (45001) with visitation from 10:00 am until 12:00 pm.
