Leonard Johnson was born on February 5, 1966, in Cincinnati, Ohio to the union of the late Alvin C. Johnson, Sr., and Geneva (nee Dailey) Johnson. Leonard departed this life at Christ Hospital on Monday, September 4, 2017. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Carl P. Johnson, SR., four sisters, Shirley Coleman, Betty Johnson, Mildred (Mickey) Johnson, and Mildred Tyus, brother-in-law, Raymond W. McGee, four aunts, Mary Elizabeth Dailey, Lula Dailey, Alva Lee Johnson-Copeland, and Mildred "Aunt Bill" Johnson, and uncle, Cecil Dailey. Leonard accepted Christ and was baptized at Peace Baptist Church. He later joined ElBethel Baptist Church, where he was a member of the Male Chorus. He leaves to mourn his passing, two brothers, Alvin C. Johnson, Sr., and Emmitt (Bonita) Johnson; three sisters, Donna (Rev. Johnny L.) Billups, Darlene (Marcus) Stonestreet, Chanta (Donald) Jones, Antoinette Buford, Valencia R. Joiner, Alicia Y. Joiner, Katelynn Johnson, Kimberly (James) Smartt, Candace (Greg) Harris; nephews, William (Paula) London, Jamin (Carl P. Jr) Johnson, Phillip Pickett Jr., Antonio (Dana) London, Kirk Barton Jr., Keith Johnson, Joshua D. Roberson Sr., Craig Jones, dedicated friend, Isaac Fairbanks, and a host of great-nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends. Visitation is from 10:00 am until 11:00 am, on Saturday, September 16, 2017, at the Walker Funeral Chapel-Mt. Healthy, 7272 Hamilton Avenue, Cincinnati (45231). The funeral service will immediately follow the visitation beginning at 11:00 am. Rev. Jon-Claude Jones, Officiating. Interment will follow at Walnut Hills Cemetery, 3117 Victory Parkway, Cincinnati, Ohio 45206.
