IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Leon Edward
Watson
April 27, 1956 – June 18, 2013
Leon Edward Watson, age 57, passed away June 18, 2013. On April 27, 1956, the sun rose for Leon Edward Watson, Sr., also known as 'Bobo'. He was the baby of nine children born to Charles and Betty Mae Watson. Leon departed this life on June 18,2013 at the Hospice of Cincinnati. After a hard battle with cancer, the Lord delivered him. Leon was preceded in death by his loving mother and father, Betty Mae and Charles Watson, Sr. One sister, Johnnie Mae Turner and two brothers, Richard C. and Clifford Watson, Sr. One stepson, Calvin Lail'Fat Daddy'. Leon accepted Christ at an early age at Greater Fellowship Missionary Baptist Church under the leadership of the late pastor H.M. Smith. Leon graduated from R.A. Taft High School in 1975. He worked for Cincinnati Highway Maintenance from 1977 to 1980 and then at Bernard Laboratories as a machinist, which he loved doing. This is also where he met Patricia Lail and shortly after six years they married on June 20, 1998 and worked together for 13 years. He then went on to work with his wife again at Dixon Bayco for three years until he was diagnosed with lung and bone cancer. Bo never complained about his illness, he just tried to put on a smile and push through the pain. We remember him as the Corn Hole Champion, the King of Scratch-Offs, and Master of the Grill. Bo leaves to cherish fond memories: his wife Patricia Watson of 23 years; daughter and sons: Angie Harris, Leon Watson, Jr. 'Lil Bo', Chaz Johnson 'Rudy', Leon Williams 'Antrel', Jonathan Lail'BigJon', and Keyawn Dunham 'Work'. Sisters: E.V. Nelson, Pauline Watson, Paulette Noble. Brothers: Charles L. Watson, Ronald L. Watson (Deborah). His stepmother: Helen Palmer, brothers-in-laws, Lawson Turner, Larry D. Barrett, Sr., and Don Noble; mother- in-law, Patricia Adams. Aunts: Naomi B. Pack of Detroit, Michigan and Lurene Pack of Atlanta, Georgia. A host of precious nieces, nephews, cousins, great-nieces and great- nephews, and a host of special friends. Funeral Services 5:00 p.m., Wednesday, June 26 at WALKER FUNERAL HOME - WALNUT HILLS CHAPEL, 1025 E. McMillan Street (45206) with visitation from 4:00 p.m. until hour of service.
