Lawrence Green was born Tuesday June 7th, 1955 to the late Willie James Green and Jennie V. Green in Cincinnati, Ohio. Lawrence was the eighth child of 12 siblings. Lawrence was educated in the Cincinnati public school district. Lawrence began working as soon as he could get a work permit. Local business men were eager to hire him because he was good at fixing electrical appliances. Lawrence loved music and loved to dance. He took jobs after school to keep up with his love for music. He had to buy every album that came out.

Lawrence enlisted in the United States Marine Corp in 1975. He received an honorable discharge. After the military, Lawrence started working at Veterans Hospital in Cincinnati, Ohio in 1979. He worked there for 9 years before transferring down to the Veterans Hospital in Atlanta, Georgia in 1992. Lawrence worked for VA Hospital for a total of 13 years. Eagar for a change of scenery and different atmosphere, Lawrence moved further south to Savannah, Georgia in 2017. Lawrence struggled with employers due to the way they were running their businesses. Lawrence always had tall orders for the way things should be done (Don't be fooled by the height). Determined to control and manage things his way, He successfully opened his own business Larry's Full Lawn Care and Home Maintenance in 2018. Lawrence managed his business until his health began to fail him.

In 2026, Lawrence was moved back to Cincinnati Ohio with his family. He began getting the medical attention he needed for a few years. His family was there to help support him and make decisions he couldn't make for himself. Lawrence loved each and every one of them.

He continued to answer their calls for help until his health wouldn't allow him. Lawrence did everything possible for his family, friends, and employees. Putting his own health aside.

Lawrence departed this life on February 10, 2026 with his family by his side.

Lawrence Green was preceded in death by his parents Willie James Green and Jennie V. Green. Three brothers Woodie James Green, Arnold Jerome Green, and Willis Benard Green. Lawrence leaves to cherish his memories two brothers Andrew Green, Eddie J. Green. Six sisters, Sarah Mae Poellnitz (Joe, Barbara Jean Henderson, Rose Canady, Willie Mae Hale (William), Carolyn Marie Green and Connie Yvette Mays (Rodger). One uncle Arthur Branch & a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

Friends are cordially invited to a visitation with the family from 10:00 am until 11:00 am, on Saturday, February 28, 2026, at the Walker Funeral Home - Walnut Hills Chapel, 2625 Gilbert Avenue, Cincinnati (45206). The funeral service will immediately follow the visitation, beginning at 11:00 am. Friends and family will gather to share memories, find solace in one another's company, and honor the legacy he leaves behind.

He will be laid to rest at Spring Grove Cemetery, 4521 Spring Grove Avenue, Cincinnati, Ohio 45232.
