Lauren Michelle Kinne, née Rupp, of Cincinnati, Ohio, passed away suddenly at 11:58 PM on October 11th, 2025 at the University of Cincinnati Medical Center after developing an infection following a surgical procedure.  She will be lovingly remembered by her husband of 4 years, Mark Kinne, and parents Greg Rupp and Pam Dear. She will also be dearly missed by her friends, colleagues, and the hundreds of students she taught during her nine years of teaching.

Lauren was born in Fort Thomas, Kentucky on December 2nd 1990. From a young age she always knew she wanted to be a teacher. Her passion for education led her to Northern Kentucky University where she graduated with a Bachelor's in education in 2016. She was an incredibly devoted teacher with a unique ability to connect with her students and make them feel truly seen and cared for.  Lauren liked building puzzles and LEGO sets, volunteered as an usher at the Aronoff Center for the Performing Arts, and enjoyed frequent road trips and overseas adventures. Her smile and laughter could light up a room and she fiercely loved her family and friends. Music sustained her through many hard times and she always sought to choose kindness, even in the face of adversity.

Visitation will be held at 10 AM, on October 18th, 2025 at the Walker Funeral Home's Mt. Healthy Chapel, located at 7272 Hamilton Avenue, Mt. Healthy, OH 45231. A funeral service will follow at 11 AM. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Lauren Kinne Memorial Scholarship fund which will benefit the students of Batavia Middle School.
