On December 5, 1941, a beautiful baby girl named Laura Lee Moss was born to the late Mattie Askew and Levy Moss. Laura or "Bootsie Gal" as she was affectionately called, grew up in Macon, Ga where she attended school. As a teenager, she moved to Miami, FL where she met Robert Wilcher and had eight children. Cincinnati, Ohio became Bootsie's home again in 1997. Bootsie was a loving, caring, and thoughtful woman, who was known as a woman to care for many people in her home. On Thursday, May 7, 2015, our angel Laura received her wings and took flight to her heavenly home. She leaves to cherish her memories, her children: Estella Dean (Mark), Gwendolyn Wilcher, and Jacqueline Wilcher of Miami, Florida, Adrianne Wilcher of Cincinnati, Ohio, Annie Taylor (Clifton Jr.), Hilda Wilkerson of Miami, Florida, Robert Wilcher Jr. of Miami, Florida, Calvin Wilcher of Cincinnati, Ohio, Wendell and Angela Wilcher whom both preceded her in death. Three Sisters: Virginia Hall, Shirley Smith (Howard), and Catherine Askew all of Cincinnati, Ohio. One brother: Bobby Askew (Debbie) of Cincinnati, Ohio. One Aunt: Ruth Bennett (John) of Pearland, Texas. One Uncle: Roosevelt Whisby (Christine) of Miami, Florida. Twenty-five grandchildren, in which two preceded her in death. Thirty great- grandchildren. Two special nieces: Patricia Askew and Wanda Clark both of Cincinnati, Ohio and a host of neices, nephews, cousins and other relatives and friends. Visitation is from 10:00 am until 11:00 am, on Friday, May 15, 2015, at the Walker - Reading Road Chapel , 3939 Reading Road , Cincinnati (45229). The funeral service will immediately follow the visitation beginning at 11:00 am. Interment is in Landmark Memorial Gardens at Cincinnati, Ohio.
