Obituary

Latosha Latrice Harris was born on December 9, 1973, in Cincinnati, Ohio, to Ava Barnes and Curtis Hopkins. She was a beloved daughter, sister, mother, grandmother, cousins and friend with a creative spirit. A woman of faith who peacefully earned her wings on March 6, 2026, leaving behind a legacy of love, kindness and strength.

Latosha life was marked by devotion to God. She was fierce and loyal to her family and friends and brought warmth and joy to those around her. Latosha attended Rockdale Elementary, Crest Hill Middle School and Woodward High School.

Latosha will be remembered for her caring heart, her beautiful spirit and the love she shared with her family and friends. She had a way of making people feel supported and valued, and her spirit will continue to live on in the lives she touched. She enjoyed painting, spending time and cooking with her family. In her free time she loved to do arts & Crafts making Jewelry like necklaces, bracelets, and earrings. Latosha also loved to travel and was very adventurous. She was the life of the party and loved to dress. She enjoyed dancing and listening to Music while sipping her wine. She loved her children, grandchildren, and family unconditionally.

At the age of 46 Latosha joined Christ Emmanuel Church in 2017, where she was reunited with Jesus Christ and baptized under pastor Micheal D. Dantley.

She enjoyed caring for the elderly and also received her CNA license and then became a daycare provider in 2001. She continued her education and graduated on October 21, 2022, when she received her diploma from Dohn High School.

Latosha was preceded in death by her grandparents Benjamin and Lottie Mae Harris and Tex and Elnora Hopkins, Karen Harris, Patrick Madaris, Leroy Harris, James Hopkins, Tex Hopkins Jr., Linda Harris, (son_ Damarlo D. Harris, (Godmother) Judy Nell Lockett Collins, Benjamin Harris, Curtis Hopkins, Linda Harris Nash, Carolyn Massie, and Donnie Harris.

She is survived by her (mother) Ava Lynn Barnes; (best friend and lover ) Tonya Smith; (aunts) Sharon, Myra Debbie Harris, Vivian Blanchard, Nancy Brown, Iva Thomas, Charmaina Carner; (sisters) Tonya Harris, Willisa Harris, Rasheedah, Tasha Lynch Kalela; (brothers) Reco, Delorenze Hopkins, Curtis Hopkins, Ian Lynch, Brandon; (children) Rico, Taron, Trevon Smith and Tashiana Harris; (grandchildren) Kamari, Hykeem, Kyliyah, Damari, Ariyah, Reco Jr, Jomarion, Jay’Ceon, Talayah; (nieces) Ahkira, Briauna, Brooklynn, Jaylah, Reshayla, Harlym, Trezure, Jouri, Jewels; (nephews) Caleb, Jaidyn, Amarion; (great-nieces) Haidyn Barker, Aura Lynn Harris; (great-nephew) Jahari Juu Rasheed Harris; (best friend) since the fifth grade Orlantha Dixon.

Latosha was three times a woman. She was a mother of 5 children, trailblazer, pioneer. Latosha was a confidant to a generation of family and friends. She did not chase the trend she created the waves. Trusted person, friend, advisor, with whom you share private matter, secrets. Latosha carried a presence that lingered-powerful, gentle, and touched by God. Her spirit lit rooms, lifted hearts, and changed lives. Now she rest in glory that shaped her.

Friends are cordially invited to a visitation with the family from 3:00 pm until 4:00 pm, on Saturday, March 28, 2026, at the Walker Funeral Home - Walnut Hills Chapel, 2625 Gilbert Avenue, Cincinnati (45206). The funeral service will immediately follow the visitation, beginning at 4:00 pm. Friends and family will gather to share memories, find solace in one another's company, and honor the legacy she leaves behind.
