IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Latimer "Moe"
Pickett
February 20, 1961 – June 9, 2020
Latimer "Moe" Pickett was born February 20, 1961 in Cincinnati, Ohio. He was the third child of seven that blessed the union of Joshua and Norma Pickett. Latimer came into this world fighting, he was born premature. He grew to be a smart, happy child who sang with his brothers. He loved to draw and was really funny.
He went to Elmira Jones Elementary School when the family moved to Detroit, Michigan and when they moved back to Cincinnati he attended Campbell Junior High School. Latimer had to overcome some difficulties after his parents divorced. After some really rough years he realized what he really wanted in life. To live a peaceful life and be happy. Oh, something was missing... To find his true love he met some very special women but he was married twice and divorced twice.
Latimer was complicated. He was a sensitive soul, deeply philosophical, loved beautiful things. He also had some very conservative views and a deep belief in God. He was also hot tempered and impulsive and did things the left handed way. Yes, he was left handed.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Joshua and Norma Pickett and brothers, Erwin Pickett and Joshua Pickett, Jr.
Latimer "Moe" Pickett passed away on June 9, 2020 after a long illness. He was sent to a facility for rehabilitation where he contracted Coronavirus. Latimer fought this with everything he had until the end.
Latimer leaves his memories to be cherished by: his siblings, Angela McCants Pickett, Alex Pickett, Terry Pickett and Kimberly Pickett. Latimer also leaves several children, Monique, Xavier, other daughters, sons and grandchildren. We pray for all of them especially at this time.
