LaTanya Lenise Amison, "Tanya" age 40, passed away on Tuesday March 4, 2014. She was born to Carolyn Brooks Amison and Elbert Amison, March 14, 1973, in Cincinnati, Ohio. Tanya attended Robert A. Taft High School and later became a medical assistant. Tanya was a beautiful woman and a dedicated mother. Her children were her everything. She strived to give them love, direction and support. She had a passion for singing, dancing, shopping, and cooking. She was stylish, endearing and always greeted you with a warm smile and an open heart. She was a religious soul who embraced the opportunity to visit many churches to spread the word and share the love; if she could make it she was there. She enjoyed summer cookouts, family gatherings and just sitting back and relaxing. She had so many dreams and aspirations that weren't completely fulfilled due to her health. Her philosophy on life was if she couldn't do it somebody needed to. She wanted to live life through those close to her. Tanya touched the hearts of many people. She had a good heart and a never ending supply of love. She will be truly missed. Tanya was preceded in death by her mother, Carolyn Amison and is survived by her father, Elbert Amison; three children, Delshawn Amison, Kharon Amison and Devonte Johnson; seven sisters and brothers, Deangelo (Tia) Amison, Elbert "Elb" Amison Jr., Richard (Margaret) Amison, LaTisha Amison, Elbert "E" Amison Jr., Katie Smith, Terresha Hogan; and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews. Funeral Services will be conducted at 12:00 pm on Thursday, March 13, 2014 at House of Joy, 5918 Hamilton Avenue, Cincinnati (45224) with visitation from 10:00 am until 12:00 pm.
