Obituary

Larry Dean (Spunky) Croom Jr., 45, of Springfield Township, Ohio, passed away on July 5, 2020 in Cincinnati, Ohio.

Larry was born in Cincinnati, Ohio to Larry Dean Tillman and Lauressie Lee Croom on April 27, 1975. Larry was a people's person, evident by the fact that he always had interesting and meaningful conversations with everyone he met.  He spoke very fondly of his time at St. Francis de Sales, the School of Creative & Performing Arts, Purcell Marion, and Woodward High School and formed many lifelong friendships with his classmates. He enjoyed hip hop and gospel music and had a special bond with his crew of friends.

He met the love of his life Tiffany in 1992 and they married on August 25, 2001. Larry was a devoted husband and father and a strong man of faith. He was most proud of being a father to his warrior Armond and his baby girl Divine. He accepted Christ at a young age and was a proud member of Lincoln Heights Missionary Baptist Church. He turned his love of comics and collectibles into his own business, Vault Comics & Collectibles, for which he ran until his health would no longer allow. He was a generous man and always found the most creative gifts for friends and family. Larry will be remembered for never losing his smile even during his darkest days. He was a fighter and battled through illness for many years. No matter how much pain he went through he never lost his faith in God or love for his family.

Larry is survived by his wife, Tiffany Croom, son, Armond Croom, daughter, Divine Croom, father, Larry Tillman (Cathy), mother, Lauressie Valentine, step father Alvin Valentine, grandmothers Mable Hudson, & Florida Crooks, sister, Natalie Pham (Phil), brother, Christopher Tillman, God brother, Curtis Hairston, Aunts, Sharon Tate & Diane Tillman-Robertson, uncle Alfred Tillman, Father & mother in law, David & Janice Sanders, brother & sister in law, David & Yolonda Sanders, and a host of very close and loved cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends.
