Drake was born September 11, 1964 in Cincinnati, Ohio to the late James Frederick and Evelyn Barnes-Drake. Landrum went home to be with the Lord, Wednesday, January 15, 2014. Land was preceded in death by his parents and brother, (Butch) Samuel Drake, grandparents: Callie Barnes Maddox and Arthur Maddox. Landrum was baptized at an early age at Zion Hope Baptist Church. He grew up in Evanston and attended Cincinnati Public Schools. Landrum had a large circle of friends and family who affectionately referred to him as Unc Land, O-G and Lance. He enjoyed hanging in E-Town with buddies at the cab stand and tire shop on Montgomery Road. At family and friend functions, you could always find him on the grill, those ribs so tasty falling off the bone. Land also loved fishing and Law & Order. He had a laugh that made you laugh, and would never be mimicked. He was a stranger to no one. Landrum leaves to cherish his memory: his wife Perry Lee Drake; brothers: Wendell Drake, James F. (Jim) Drake II (Evelyn), Atlanta, GA; sisters: Margo, Donna (Kay) of Atlanta, GA, Geneen Drake of Cincinnati, OH; children: Landrum T. Swann, Atlantis M. Drake, Alanda N. Drake, Luther D. Drake, LaToya N. Drake, Lancya R. Drake; grandsons: La'Darian T. Blackwell, Atlantis M. Drake, Jr., Adonis Drake, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
