Lafayette Lamar Orr, age 25, was born on February 2, 1989 to Lafayette Sanders and Nickie Orr. Lafayette departed this life on May 30, 2014 in Cincinnati, Ohio following an accident. Lafayette was a devoted father, son, brother, nephew and friend who will be missed. A native of Birmingham, Alabama, Lafayette or Shank as he was affectionately known was cared for and loved by his adoptive mother Angela Renee Braggs who preceded him in death. As a youth in Birmingham, Lafayette was a product of the Birmingham City School System winning many academic accolades. Lafayette was a very bright, funny and caring young man. For the past few years, Lafayette has called Cincinnati his home but never forgetting his roots in Birmingham. Lafayette was preceded in death by his grandparents: Deborah Orr, Clero Braggs and Mary Braggs. Mourning the loss of Lafayette are his parents Lafayette Sanders of Birmingham, AL and Nickie Orr also of Birmingham. His brother: Carlos Orr of Cincinnati, Ohio. Uncle: Andre (Jenita) Braggs and Rico Orr of Cincinnati, Ohio. Aunts: Niki Braggs of Charlotte, North Carolina, Darlene Hornsby of Covington, Kentucky, Shamell Sanders of Birmingham, Alabama and Tamika Orr and Tammie Orr both of Birmingham, Alabama. As well as a host of family and friends that stretched far and wide across the states. Lafayette left this life suddenly and without warning. His family believes that he was received in the house of the Lord and takes great comfort in this.
