Obituary

Kurt Renando Crews September 22, 1954 - May 4, 2023

Kurtis Ronando Crews of Cincinnati Ohio passed away May 4, 2023, at Good Samaritan Hospital surrounded by his family after a short battle with cancer. He was born in Cincinnati, Ohio to the late Roscoe & Harriett Crews on September 22, 1954. Kurt was full of life growing up with his 3 brothers Randy Crews, Michael Crews, Dwight "Boo" Crews and 4 sisters Terri "Pixie" Thompson (deceased), Donna "Jeanie" Crews" (deceased), Sharon "Bigg" Wison (Bob) and Kimberly Crews. He graduated from Cincinnati Public Schools and found work as a laborer. He also did janitorial work,  but he loved working in various nursing homes throughout the city of Cincinnati. Kurt was stylish, he liked to dress and look nice. He also loved to travel making Boston Massachusetts,  Columbus Ohio and others his home. Kurt enjoyed eating! I mean eating, eating, like Jethro Bodine from the Beverly Hill Billies. He also had a passion for singing,  and he had an amazing voice. On Holidays growing up he could be found singing with his brothers sounding like the Temptations at their mom's house where everyone would gather to celebrate. Never Would've Made It by Marvin Sapp was one of his favorites songs that he would always sing as a reminder that God was who always got him through.

His memory lives on with his children Katrina,  Titus, Brandon (deceased), Erica, Kurtrice, Neriah, Kamile, Ronando and Malik. A host of grandchildren, nieces,  nephews, cousins, family, friends,  loved ones and a very special friend Terri Woodard.  (Obituary written by family)

A Memorial Service at 4:00 p.m., Saturday, May 13, 2023, at St. Mark Church of God In Christ, 820 Ezzard Charles Drive, Cincinnati (45202).  Pastor Gerald Bates, eulogist.
