IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Kevin Eugene
Allen
June 21, 1963 – October 10, 2025
Kevin E. Allen, beloved son of the late Albert Henry Allen Jr. and Meredith E. Johnson Allen, was born June 21, 1963, in Cincinnati, Ohio. He was the youngest of two children.
He rested in death on October 10, 2025, at the age of 62.
Kevin attended Northwest High School and Indiana University. While at Northwest High School, he excelled in discus, wrestling, and football. In discus, he held the school record, and in wrestling, he won the Knight Award and was inducted into the Northwest Athletic Hall of Fame. After graduating from Northwest High School, Kevin was offered athletic scholarships from various colleges but chose Indiana University to be close to home.
While there, Kevin played football, which later led to him being drafted by the NFL's Philadelphia Eagles in the first round of the draft. He later played football with other NFL teams, as well as in the USFL, World League, and Arena Football with the Cincinnati Rockers. Although Kevin loved football, reading, movies, and various games, he loved even more his previous two dogs and, until his passing, his cat Camy.
Kevin was our family protector, and he loved and was loved by many.
On December 1, 2018, Kevin symbolized his dedication to Jehovah God through water baptism. He was happy to share with others his faith in God's Kingdom and God's Son, Jesus Christ, and the ransom, as well as the resurrection hope.
Kevin leaves to cherish his memory his mother, Meredith Johnson Allen; his sister, Cheri Allen Greer; Aunt Joyce C. Hale and her children, Craig, Marci, and Spencer; Aunt Grace A. Jones and her daughter, Karissa; nieces Magan Smith and her daughter, Mariana Wilson; Melanie (Marquis) Richardson and their children, Mya, Marlee, LaNiah, and MacKenzi Richardson; Kevin's cat, Camy; and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives, and his extended spiritual brothers and sisters whom he dearly loved.
