Kenneth Robert
Gentry
July 15, 1982 – May 20, 2026
Kenneth was born on July 15, 1982, in Cincinnati, Ohio, to Benita Webster and Robert Gentry, who preceded him in death. He was the second eldest of four children, and from the very beginning, he was known for his affectionate smile and his beautiful almond-shaped eyes that seemed to look right into your soul.
Lovingly known as “Kenny G” or simply “Kenny,” he grew up in Madisonville alongside his three sisters, Genita, Robin, and Constance. Kenneth was a comedian at heart and had a special way of lifting the spirits of everyone around him. He will be remembered for his warm and gentle nature, his big heart, and his thoughtful way of speaking. No matter what challenges life placed before him, Kenneth carried himself with a calm and easygoing spirit. He attended Bramble Elementary, Peoples Middle School, and Withrow High School.
Kenneth loved sports, especially football, and was a devoted Cincinnati Bengals fan. He also had a passion for cooking and worked in several restaurants throughout Cincinnati. He proudly considered himself a chef, and those who knew him can agree that he could sometimes cook some tasty dishes. He also saw himself as a grill master. In his quiet moments, Kenneth enjoyed fishing or simply relaxing outside on the porch. He had the biggest heart for his family members, even serving as a babysitter for his big sister while she was serving in the military overseas.
Words cannot fully express how deeply Kenneth was loved or how greatly he will be missed. At the age of 43, Kenneth departed this earthly life on May 20, 2026, and entered into eternal rest with our Heavenly Father.
Kenneth R. Gentry leaves behind to cherish his memory his daughter, Mariah Gentry; his mother, Benita W. Hardy whom he passionately called (“Momma”); his loving stepfather, Lanier Hardy; his three sisters, Genita Hill (Daryel), Robin Gentry, and Constance Gentry-Vinegar (Michael); stepbrothers and stepsister, Lanier Hardy Jr., Joshua Hardy, and Nicole Palmer; as well as host of uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, other relatives, and dear friends.
