IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Kenneth Wayne
Cash
April 2, 1942 – April 18, 2024
Kenneth Wayne Cash, 82, died Thursday, April 18, 2024, at his home in Aurora, Indiana.
Kenny was born on April 2, 1942, to Betty and Hobert Cash. He graduated from Aurora High School where he played many sports and accomplished great things. After high school, Kenny joined the United States Marine Corps. He was a proud veteran. Kenny enjoyed going to sporting events of all kinds. You could catch him at various Lawrenceburg and South Dearborn events. Even though he would never admit that he loved attending Lawrenceburg sporting events, he would very rarely miss them because of his grandchildren. He was a true Aurora Red Devils fan. When he wasn't attending a sporting event, you would find him hanging out with his friends at the American Legion.
Kenny is survived by his children, Kelly (Gary) Held and Michael Cash; his grandchildren, Torey (Chris) Jones, Bailey Held, and Rylee Held; his great-grandchildren, Kaelyn and Hunter Jones; and a special friend of 30+ years, Jo Kervin.
He is preceded in death by his mother, father, Larry Cash (brother), and Ramona Volz (sister). Kenny did not know a stranger, loved his family, and was as stubborn as they come.
He asked that his family have a celebration of life rather than a funeral service, as he requested to be cremated.
Please join us for a celebration for Kenneth Wayne Cash on Sunday, May 19, 2024, at the Dillsboro American Legion, 12915 Main Street, Dillsboro, Indiana 47018 from 12:00 pm - 5:00 pm. The family welcomes all who knew Kenny and asks that everyone tries to spread the word so that all who loved him can attend.
