IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Kenneth Alan
Freeman
April 19, 1964 – May 4, 2014
Alan, firstborn son of Kenneth and Irene Freeman, was born April 19, 1964. He entered the world as a beautiful, healthy, and happy baby, and immediately began to teach us what it really meant to be a parent. Looking beyond the baby showers and gifts, the giggles and good wishes, we learned about the nuts and bolts of parenthood. Being up all night, dirty diapers, constant feeding, washing and oh yeah, the crying. But, we made it, and Alan grew into a beautiful child, and handsome young man. Always friendly and outgoing, he never met a stranger. He easily greeted others with a smile, a hug or sometimes both. The diagnosis of a brain tumor at the age of three and its subsequent removal left him with some health issues, however, he worked with and through them all. He struggled most with being legally blind and never really understood why his eyes wouldn't 'really open'. But thanks be to God, he can see now. His eyes are open wide. He has no health issues and he's able to do everything he ever wanted to do. He is whole, his body is perfect and he will be that way forever. He left us Sunday afternoon for a better place. It was sudden and unexpected. We miss him so much, our hearts are broken. But we know we will see him again. We rest in our faith. Alan is Okay.
