IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Keith Anderson,
Sr.
September 4, 1953 – April 30, 2025
Keith Anderson Sr. was born on September 4, 1953, in Cincinnati, Ohio—38 minutes after his twin sister, Denise—to the late Robert Anderson Sr. and Thelma (Ralls) Anderson.
Keith was baptized at Morning Star Baptist Church under the leadership of Rev. J.C. Wynn. He was later ordained in ministry and went on to serve in numerous churches alongside his wife, Charlesetta. His dedication to faith, family, and discipline was evident in every aspect of his life.
As a teenager, he trained in martial arts under Grandmaster Ahn and earned a 5th-degree black belt in Tae Kwon Do. His entire family proudly followed in his martial arts footsteps. During this time, he also began his journey in the kitchen, learning from his Uncle Clarence, a professional chef. Keith's cooking became a beloved highlight at countless family gatherings.
After attending Hughes High School, Keith served in the U.S. Navy, then returned to Cincinnati, where he met and married the love of his life, Charlesetta (Charlie) Anderson. Together, they raised a family of warriors, leaders, and ministers.
He served faithfully in several ministries, including Morning Star, Inspirational Baptist Church, Macedonia Living Word Fellowship, Higher Ground Ministries, and Greater Zoe Temple. He was also a dedicated community leader, coaching youth football with the Hilltop Hawks organization. Under his leadership, his teams reached the PeeWee Super Bowl for a decade.
Keith entered eternal rest on April 30, 2025. He was preceded in death by his parents and his siblings, Joyce Litman and Robert Anderson.
He leaves to cherish his memory: His wife of 44 years, Charlesetta "Charlie" Anderson; his children: Regina (Jomar) Hinesmon, Keith Jr., Keisha (Eric Sr.) Brantley, Sunny (Anthony) Brown, Robert, and Donovan Barrow II; his siblings: Gloria Rivers, Elaine (Richard) Moore, his twin sister Denise Anderson, and Collette (Jerome) Clay; twenty-three grandchildren, nineteen great-grandchildren, and a host of loving family and friends
Keith leaves behind a lasting legacy of martial arts, culinary expertise, and ministry that will never be forgotten.
