Katherine Lorita (Short) Whittaker

It is with great sadness we announce the transition of Kathy Whittaker, age 69, of Cincinnati.  She entered rest on Wednesday, October 9, 2024 in Cincinnati, Ohio.

She was preceded in death by her  father,  David Louis Short and her mother,  Nannie Irene Short; brothers, Danny Short and Robert Short.

She is survived by her loving husband Ray E. Whittaker, Sr. and her children, Sonya Highfield (Rodger), Robert Osborne, and Katie-Jo Garcia (Jose); step-children, Ray Whittaker, Jr., Lara Whittaker, Lance Schwnotes.  Sisters, Ellen Finley (Perry), Terri Marsh, and Belinda Ball (Dennis); brother, Jerry Short (Angie).  She also leaves 13 grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren;

Visitation is from 9:00 am until 10:30 am, on  Wednesday, October 16, 2024, at the Walker Funeral Home - Mt. Healthy, 7272 Hamilton Avenue , Mt. Healthy  (45231).   The funeral service will immediately follow the visitation beginning at 10:30 am. Friends and family will gather to share memories, find solace in one another's company, and honor the legacy she leaves behind.

Interment will follow at Crown Hill Memorial Park & Mausoleum, 11825 Pippin Road, Colerain Township, Ohio 45231.
