Obituary

Kathy Lynn Brockman-Walker was born January 29, 1950, the fourth born daughter to the union of John and Ida (Griffin) Brockman of Cincinnati, Ohio.

Kathy joined New Community Church of God in Christ at the age of 13 and was water baptize in James Temple Church of God in Christ in 1973 by the late Bishop William Morgan James. As Kathy spiritually developed and mature, she later became a senior Sunday school teacher.

Kathy graduated from the college of Business Administration from the University of Cincinnati with a bachelor's degree in Personnel & Human Resource Management and worked at Procter and Gamble in Research and Development. She was also encouraged and sponsored by her Proctor and Gamble Director to attend a month's training of organizational development in Bethel Maine and became the Affirmative Action coordinator for her Division. Kathy was the first female at Proctor and Gamble to organize a companywide athletic dinner for over two thousand women.

Kathy began teaching young people personal development with the first called "Children Are People Too". In 1976 she began a Women's Personal Development Seminar Ministry which addressed the personal, social, and spiritual needs of the Women. In the early eighties Vinedresser Ministries Incorporated was birthed as a 501C Tax Exempt Corporation in the state of Ohio. Vinedresser Ministries Inc. expanded its reach into many churches across denominations in the Cincinnati and State of Ohio, the Tri-State area, and participation as far as the State of Pennsylvania.

In January 2011 she became the First Lady of Turning Point Ministries Pentecostal Church alongside her beloved husband Elder Eddie C. Walker. Kathy implemented the Daughters of Excellence Ministry for young girls ages 5-16 years, counseled many women inside and outside the church and taught adult Sunday School.

Kathy was preceded in death by her sisters Mary Ellen Taylor, Cheryl Brockman and brother John Brockman. She is survived after 55 years of marriage by her husband Elder Eddie Charles Walker, and two sisters Donna Maria Watkins and Vicki Kidd, Niece Terri Yvette (Ted) Stice, Nephews Isaac Thompson, Joshua Caleb Brockman (Ashton). Leaving great nieces Kaylee Sophia Brockman, Brynlee Brockman, and great nephews Josiah Brockman, Kolson John Brockman and brother and sister-in laws.

Visitation is from 9:00 am until 10:00 am, on  Saturday, September 13, 2025, at the Turning Point Ministries, 7243 Eastlawn Drive, Cincinnati  (45237).   The funeral service will immediately follow the visitation beginning at 10:00 am. Friends and family will gather to share memories, find solace in one another's company, and honor the legacy she leaves behind.

Interment will follow at Rest Haven Memorial Park, 10209 Plainfield Road, Cincinnati, Ohio 45241.
